Paranoia and lies again

Tony Blah-blah and his Government have been at it again.

First, they delayed the UN resolution to stop the one-sided war in Lebanon (what chance do machine guns and hand held rockets have against tanks and aircraft?) giving Israel a chance to destroy the Hezbollah (but ending up killing mainly civilians who probably did not have a clue as to what was going on).

Then, to divert the attention away from protests at home, and to stir up mass hysteria, they go on a witch hunt claiming that a terrorist strike was imminent. Yeah, like explosives can be hidden in food, medicines, and lipstick tubes.

As an Indian, I am ashamed to say that these tactics find favour among a lot of my countrymen. Aa far as I know, the Indian security establishment has been copying every step being taken in the United Kingdom.

All this has left me wondering, when all these Governments will start leaving people too sick/injured to go to a hospital alone, to die; out of fear of terrorist attacks on hospitals. Or worse still, abolish democracy out of fear of attacks on polling stations.
